Baldwin County Strawberry Festival

Saturday and Sunday, April 13 & 14, 2024

4198 Municipal Park, Loxley, AL

BARCS participated in the festival by setting up a booth to provide the public with an introduction to the exciting world of radio-controlled aircraft. Our display featured a variety of models, ranging from beginner-friendly trainers to advanced turbine-powered jets. Visitors had the opportunity to see these impressive aircraft up close and learn more about the hobby. Additionally, we had two radio-controlled simulators available for visitors to experience the challenge of flying r/c aircraft firsthand. Interest was high and we had over 100 people, young and old, try their hand at the simulators.

We also had two ready-to-fly r/c aircraft, generously donated by Horizon Hobby, to be raffled at our upcoming Spring Fling (April 27th). The raffle was free and available to kids 16 and under. We received over 200 entries for a chance to take home one of these models. Winners will also receive flying instruction and a 2024 membership to our club.

Club Members (L to R): Mark P., Al W., Mike C., Wally L., Bruce R., Ray M., and Andy W.
